We are proud to support the Texas Instruments Stellaris LM3S family of Cortex-M3 microcontrollers (formerly Luminary Micro) and TMS470 family of ARM7 microcontrollers. We also support their 16-bit DSPs with our filesystem and USB stacks.
For the TI Stellaris MCUs, we offer the SMX® multitasking RTOS and drivers for the on-chip USB host, USB device, USB OTG, and Ethernet controllers, in smxUSBH, smxUSBD, smxUSBO, and smxNS, respectively.
Cortex-M3 Support: SMX® ARM RTOS will run on all LM3S processors and has been tested on the following:
- LM3S3xxx / LM3S5xxx USB MCUs
- LM3S8xxx Ethernet + CAN MCUs
- LM3S9B9x USB + Ethernet + CAN MCUs
We offer free SMX ARM RTOS Evaluation Kits for these boards: LM3S3748EK, LM3S8962EK, LM3S9B92EK. These kits are full working copies of the SMX ARM RTOS, including the smx multitasking kernel, smxNS TCP/IP stack, and smxAware with GAT.
We also offer free Demos for smxFS, smxUSBD, and smxUSBH for these processors. Registration is required for access and the demos can then be downloaded and run immediately; no password is required.
ARM7 Support: We currently offer SMX Evaluation Kits for these boards:
DSP Support: Our filesystem and USB products (smxFS, smxUSBD, and smxUSBH) can support their 16-bit DSPs, such as the TMS320C55xx family. These processors are difficult to support for typical communication protocols because of their inability to directly access byte data and byte fields in standard protocol data structures.
