Micro Digital Announces New Eastern Regional Sales Manager

Costa Mesa, California, August 24, 2009 -- Micro Digital Inc, long term supplier of solutions for embedded systems, announces today that it has added John Cuthbertson as its new Eastern Regional Sales Manager; he will be covering the United States and Canada east of the Mississippi. He will also be covering Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.

"To continue to support our year over year growth, we have added a seasoned sales professional with 22 years of experience in engineering, sales/marketing, and account management," said Ralph Moore, President and CEO of MDI.  "John is the perfect complement to our current sales organization, a technical sales engineer with years of account management.  We have needed a senior level sales manager to take our sales organization to the next level in the Eastern region while helping MDI expand its market presence globally along with many other new marketing efforts."

John Cuthbertson has more than 22 years of engineering, sales/marketing, and program management experience with particular success in account management and new business development.  He most recently worked at Swell Software, Inc. as Director of Marketing and Sales. While at Swell Software, he managed the direct and indirect sales with the distribution channel partners along with coordinating marketing activities.
